Hello, and welcome. Thanks for dropping by.
I’ve been writing since I was a teenager and growing up in a world where I felt I had little control, I enjoyed creating characters and situations where I got to decide what happened to them. What they said, how they felt and what their experiences would be. As an adult and a self-confessed control freak, this still appeals to me.
I currently work full time in a job that I love, however before work, after work and at weekends are when I get to do what I am really passionate about, writing.
Like most, if not all authors and writers, I love to read and my favourite author over the decade has to be Karin Slaughter. I simply love her books. If you haven’t had a chance to read her yet, I would highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.
True crime is another passion of mine, and I have lots of books and watch as many documentaries as I can on the subject.
My interests include reading true stories of survivors of the Holocaust and the African Slave Trade. I think they are very brave for sharing their stories and I believe it’s important to acknowledge their lives and what they went through.
In 2013 I wanted to make a difference to the life of someone special and important to me, so I became a living kidney donor. If you are interested in that story, you can read all about it in my book ‘You Only Need One – A Living Kidney Donation Experience’.
That’s just a little bit about me. If you have any questions about my books or my experience of being a live donor, please do fill out the contact form and I’ll come back to you.

It is a step by step (literally) walk through the reality of kidney failure and donation process, written from the perspective of the person donating the kidney.
Love the detail – Having just donated a kidney to my husband (a week post donation) I was interested in other donors post op recovery experiences.
What a fantastic read – I couldn’t put this book down, what an inspirational woman Sam is and to do this for a non family member is amazing.

Riveting and Emotionally Gripping – The two main characters were so well developed that the reader immediately connects with them.
This book was an emotional powerhouse – This book was so well written. I really loved this book even thought it is perhaps the saddest story I have ever read.
A must Read, but have the tissue handy – As one review stated “it gutted me.” After wiping the tears from my eyes I was able to finish.
